Startup Lisboa hosts Blockchain workshop on July 11

The Portuguese Blockchain Alliance will hold a workshop on Blockchain at the headquarters of Startup Lisboa. This workshop will focus on the benefits of technology for national startups of different industries. The workshop is free.

In this workshop we will present the Portuguese Blockchain Alliance and the business challenges promoted by the partners of this initiative, which concern problems identified by some of the most relevant companies in the national economy and whose solutions can be based on Blockchain ideas.

The workshop will have as one of the main themes the Blockchain Challenges, challenges of innovation promoted by some of the Alliance partners. In this way, startups can know in detail this initiative and present their ideas and develop their business through Blockchain. These challenges are for all those interested in this technology, namely startups who seek to know Blockchain and test new applications, startups who seek to develop their business through technology, or companies that want to adopt Blockchain, facilitating or improving their processes.

The relevance of the theme to the disruptive potential from the point of view of business models will also be given greater importance. Blockchain can, for example, help prevent fraud, facilitate cross-border payments, assist in managing online identification, or processing medical records, among many other possible applications.

The organization of this workshop by Startup Lisboa together with the Portuguese Blockchain Alliance aims to participate in the development of an ecosystem that brings together companies, academia and government entities in order to promote knowledge in Blockchain within the Portuguese business system. The Alliance aims to ensure that the Portuguese economy's stakeholders are prepared in the best possible way for the revolution that this technology will bring, as well as stimulating the development of solutions based on Blockchain of national origin.

The workshop will take place on July 11 from 5:30 p.m. The entrance is free, but subject to submission of registration through the link: http://bit.ly/2I2iBKS.
