Blockchain engineers earn as much as experts in Artificial Intelligence

The Blockchain industry, which continues to grow rapidly, has created a great demand for talent and this has resulted in Blockchain engineers being among the highest paid in the technology sector.

According to CNBC, the average salary of Blockchain engineers in the United States is between $ 150,000 and $ 175,000 annually, making it comparable to what developers in other high demand fields such as artificial intelligence do.

Currently, both fields offer the highest-paid specialized engineering functions. Software engineers earn an average of $ 135,000 a year.

This occurs at a time when publications requiring Blockchain technology skills have increased dramatically. For example, Hired, a San Francisco, Calif., Technology-based recruitment company that provided CNBC with salary statistics in the technology industry, saw a 400 percent increase in job vacancies looking for employees with Blockchain technology since the end of last year.

"There is a ton of demand for Blockchain. Software engineers are missing, but this is even more acute and that is why salaries are even higher," said Mehul Patel, CEO of Hired.

This is similar to a breakthrough from the Glassdoor jobs site, which saw job offers related to Blockchain and crypto coins rising 300% in August 2018 compared to the same period last year.
